Clayton's mission is to provide quality programs during out-of-school time that meet the diverse needs of the community's children, youth and families.
Clayton works in close partnership with regional public and private schools to provide high quality child care.
The Near Southside location for Clayton YES is Lily B. Clayton Elementary, where Clayton programs began. Clayton Child Care, Inc. was established in 1975 at Lily B. Clayton. Its purpose was to support the community's need to bring more families into the school, and thereby keep the school open.
Clayton YES! was designed to provide school age childcare to parents working in the area, and began with just 27 students. They are now 32 years old and serve over 3500 children every year in 66 programs across Tarrant County.
