Fire Station Community Center is one of 19 public community centers found throughout Fort Worth.
This Near Southside community center is located in a historic fire station building and an adjacent gymnasium. The center is immediately north of one of Fairmount's two neighborhood parks, Fire Station Park.
The center's most prominent amenity is a nice basketball court that also accommodates volleyball and other games. Other facilities include a weight room, game room, kitchen, and flexible classroom areas.
Many of the center's programmed activities are related to after school care, with various after school programs, sport leagues, classes and activities for children ages 5 & up. Center memberships are required and other fees may apply to some programs.
