Architect Ray Boothe and Daedalus Development restored this 1911 historic fire station for use as flexible office space.

Fire Station No. 5 is located within the South Main Village area, and was a pioneering project for that area.

The historic building became the new home of REAL School Gardens in 2008. REAL School Gardens is a grassroots gardening program that helps children by supporting elementary school communities as they design, install and sustain outdoor classrooms (gardens).

This non-profit organization currently supports 66 schools, 40,000 children and over 2,300 educators in North Texas and is planning for national expansion. Its goals are to use nature to enhance student learning, create safe outdoor spaces to engage young children, and encourage family and community involvement in schools.
