The Tarrant County Academy of Medicine is constructing a $5.5-million "green" or environmentally-friendly facility that will house the Tarrant County Medical Society.
The three-story, 26,000-square foot building is located at Hemphill and Pennsylvania, providing meeting space for more than 25 monthly meetings that draw more than 7,200 attendees per year.
Community groups that meet there include the Tarrant Senior Citizens Services, the Academy's Ethics Consortium, and the Emergency Physicians Advisory Board.
