Public Right-of-Way Vacation

In April 1999 the City of Fort Worth modified their ROW vacation policy (Ordinance 13767) to permit the vacation and sale of public streets or alleys for no cash consideration. This policy modification applies only in the Fort Worth Southside Development District, and is used when appropriate to encourage new investment.  This has been used effectively on a number of occasions to encourage significant new capital investments.
