MARKET VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

  • Acceptance and non acceptance of applications will be at the sole discretion of Friday on the Green Management and will be based on the information given by the applicant on their application, meeting the approved product criteria, quality, product distribution, diversity (market mix) and availability.

  • Market Vendors must be selling locally made handcrafted items.
    • No direct sales or multi-level marketing companies allowed.
    • Items must be handmade, grown or gathered (natural materials) by the seller or family member.
    • The handcrafted component must dominate the commercial component, and the commercial components must be transformed in a way that makes the work unique. The starting material must be significantly altered and enhanced by the artisan.
    • Items must be of original, unique work or design.
    • The product must meet basic expectations of product life, function and safety.
    • Products that are clearly imported or purchased from a wholesaler or are deemed inappropriate (eg: discriminatory or offensive) by Management will not be considered, and if they are being sold at the event the market vendor will be asked to leave without refund.
    • Vintage items can be sold so long as they are repurposed or thoughtfully styled to be “new again”.  Designing and/or packaging only is not sufficient involvement. Market Vendors who value-add to a product must provide significant creative input to the product and not just apply token additions please.

  • Market vendor positions cannot be transferred, sublet, franchised or sold to any other person, nor can they be shared without written approval.

  • Preferential treatment will be given to Near Southside artisans, businesses and residents.

  • The market will be curated for diversity of product by James Zametz of Keep Fort Worth Funky.  Do NOT complete this form unless you have first been approved as a market vendor by either James Zametz [email protected] or Megan Henderson [email protected]

  • MARKET VENDORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SELL FOOD DESIGNED FOR CONSUMPTION AT FRIDAY ON THE GREEN.  All food items must be packaged for consumption AFTER the event.  For example, homemade jam is allowed but homemade cookies are not.  Locally grown produce is allowed and, quite honestly, our top priority.  Food sales for consumption during the event is the exclusive right of the Friday on the Green food vendors who pay $250 to participate at each event.

  • It is the responsibility of the Market Vendor to ensure they conform to any safety and compliance standards pertaining to their product.  Market Vendors who sell produce, plants or food are required to seek all necessary permits from the Fort Worth Health Department.  Friday on the Green Management is not liable for these responsibilities.

  • CANCELLATIONS - Notification of non-attendance is required. If no notification is given then all future bookings will be cancelled and any monies paid will not be refunded.  There is no fee if more than two weeks notice is given and any monies paid will be refunded or credited to next market owing.  NO refunds are given for cancellations that occur 7 days before an event day, or for cancellations received on event days.

  • NO BAD WEATHER REFUNDS Management is not responsible for adverse weather conditions so there are no refunds for this reason.  The market will operate in varying weather conditions and Market Vendors must be prepared for adverse weather.  If Friday on the Green is cancelled due to weather no refunds will be issues.  If the event is cancelled prior to the event day, your market reservation will roll to the next event.  If the event is cancelled the day-of or during the event there no refund will be issued and no reservation will be rolled.

  • Management will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever resulting from adverse weather conditions.

  • MARKET VENDORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ALL DISPLAY ITEMS NEEDED INCLUDING LIGHTS.  This includes tents, tables, chairs, lights, hanging surfaces, etc. We do not provide tents, table or chairs.  You will be responsible for bringing your own lighting and extension cords as well.

  • SMALL AMOUNT OF POWER We can provide a small amount of power to each booth to be used for booth lights provided by the market vendor and the ability to charge a small electronic mobile device.  You must bring your own power strip and extension cords.

  • YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED WHEN YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL IMMEDIATELY AFTER REGISTERING.  IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE THIS EMAIL IT LIKELY MEANS YOUR REGISTRATION HAS NOT PROCESSED.
