Working with contractor AUI and project manager TownSite, FWSI designed and constructed Oleander Walk, the distinctive centerpiece of a re-emerging urban neighborhood located between Magnolia Ave. and W. Rosedale between Hemphill and 8th Ave.
The unique street is primarily intended to serve as a linear public space for pedestrians and bicyclists, but also allows vehicular access to garages serving the residential units along the Walk. The project was made possible through an innovative funding partnership with the City’s Housing Department and TIF #4. The goal is for this unique public space to serve as a catalyst for new infill housing development, and we have already seen a handful of completed projects. These projects include Fairmount Lofts, Texana Townhomes, Oleander Place Townhomes, and several mixed-use buildings.
