In order to produce an even higher quality event with the same great neighborhood experience, ArtsGoggle has implemented a $25.00 registration fee for artists. The money collected will provide vital funding to support improved communications, pre-event promotions, event programs, signage and more. Please note the new extended hours from noon to 10PM.
Your $25.00 registration fee covers your participation in ArtsGoggle.
There are no additional fees to show your artwork at ArtsGoggle.
ARTISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ALL DISPLAY ITEMS NEEDED. This includes tents, tables, chairs, lights, hanging surfaces, etc.
OUTDOOR ARTISTS will be assigned a space measuring 10′ x 10′, the size of a standard pop-up tent. Artists are required to provide their own tent, table, chairs, display and all items needed to show their work at ArtsGoggle. Artists participating in our outdoor block parties at South Main Village and Park Place Avenue will be provided access to electricity to use for ONE LIGHT PER TENT. Outdoor artists assigned to the two block parties at Magnolia Village, located at Magnolia Green Park and the Future Home of The Citizen Theater lot, will also be provided a small amount of electricity to power one light per tent. Artists needing additional electricity will need to contact Megan Henderson, [email protected], to discuss. We have found that outdoor artists receive the greatest amount of traffic to their booths and strongly encourage all artists to consider an outdoor space, as indoor space is very limited.
INDOOR ARTISTS Artists requesting indoor space will be assigned to an ‘ArtsGoggle Venue’. Venues are Near Southside businesses, their services ranging from restaurants to law offices, that have registered with ArtsGoggle and requested to host an artist/s. These businesses will often go to great lengths to accommodate your presence. If you are requesting indoor space, please submit your application today with as much information as possible regarding the amount of space you need. If you require wall space, table space, or other special needs please provide that information in your application. We will contact you after venue registration closes with an assigned venue. After you have been assigned to a venue, it is the artists responsibility to reach out to the venue to coordinate all of the details regarding your ArtsGoggle needs. We will provide venue contact information for your use.
THE ART SHOWN MUST BE AN ORIGINAL WORK SHOWN BY THE ARTIST PRESENT
There is no minimum or maximum for the number of works shown. Please use good judgement in providing enough artwork to have a strong presence but not so much that it overwhelms our venues or patrons.
RESTROOMS Portable restrooms are available throughout the festival and many participating ArtsGoggle venues will graciously allow our artists to use their indoors restrooms.
FOOD There are a variety of food vendors which will be present at ArtsGoggle. In addition to our many Near Southside restaurants, food trucks and food vendors will be stationed throughout the event.
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE We are working hard to make ArtsGoggle an enjoyable experience for all of our artists! This year, ArtsGoggle will have a team of volunteers dedicated to ensuring you have a manageable and successful experience. Block Captain volunteers will be present the day of the event to answer questions about artist locations, parking, electricity and any other logistics necessary. Booth Sitter volunteers will be present to monitor an artists booth for a brief period of time while an artist steps away to use the restroom, run back to their car, or order a quick bite of food/drink. More details regarding these volunteers will come as we near the event date.
