Fort Worth South, Inc.(FWSI) welcomes you to our freshly rebuilt and relaunched website. We’ve worked with the excellent web design team at Creative Magma, Inc. to fully update our site and make it easier and more enjoyable to find all the information you need about Fort Worth’s Near Southside and FWSI.

The website has two goals: 1) Provide an overview of the Near Southside with detailed information about the district’s destinations, events, and future attractions; and 2) Provide information about Fort Worth South, Inc. — the non-profit working to revitalize the district — and the FWSI members that make all of our work possible.

Most of the site’s content falls under three main menu headings near the top of all pages: Near Southside Community, Development & Business Resources, and About Fort Worth South, Inc. Under each of these main headings you’ll find drop down menus that make navigation to lower-level pages easy. For those pages that get the most traffic, we’ve added “Quick Links” at the top right of each page for one-click access. You’ll see that with a single click from any page, it’s easy to jump to information about FWSI’s community events, the district’s development standards, data reports, and more. Other key home page features include the latest news posts on the lower right side, and direct links to upcoming events on the left.

There’s no doubt you’ll notice the prevalence of large photos throughout the site. Over the years we’ve heard suggestions for more images on the website showing the attractions and unique character of the Near Southside community. Thanks to photographs from FortWorthology.com’s Kevin Buchanan and FWSI staff, we think the new site visually captures a lot of what the Near Southside and FWSI are about.

What FWSI is about more than anything is celebrating its members and their generosity that helps sustain the momentum of progress. On the home page you’ll find a button to our Members Directory. All FWSI member businesses are listed within this categorized and searchable directory, with contact information and web links included. The online directory is one of the marketing benefits provided to members, along with other perks such as publicity through our newsletter and social networking sites, special group advertising rates in local newspapers, and opportunities to host monthly FWSI events. If you appreciate the progress made in our community over the last decade, we hope you’ll visit the Members Directory and support those businesses that have helped to make it happen.

We also hope you’ll enjoy just browsing around and exploring all corners of the site. Please let us know what you think. The site will evolve as we find new ways to make it more effective, and we’ll update news items and other content frequently to provide the latest information. News postings will also be publicized through the Near Southside Facebook page, so make sure you’re following that page as well.

We’d like to thank Brian Henderson and the excellent team at Creative Magma, Inc. on W. Magnolia Ave. for all of their hard work in designing the site. We’d also like to thank FWSI’s technology consultant John Belknap, who worked with FWSI’s Mike Brennan to populate the site’s pages with updated content and also assisted FWSI’s Michel Stebbins in updating the Member Directory.
