FWSI's Development Committee oversees the implementation of redevelopment plans for the Near Southside, working in close collaboration with the City of Fort Worth.

The committee has three primary goals:

1. Shape private and public development in accordance with the mixed-use, urban vision for the Near Southside.
2. Implement improvement projects that support the Near Southside's revitalization.
3. Assist development projects that clearly contribute to the district's long-term success and sustainability.
