The Ella Shamblee branch library is the first new building within Evans & Rosedale Village . Designed by Dennehy Architects, the innovative project incorporates the historic Tommy Tucker Building, originally the Our Mother of Mercy schoolhouse.

The library also features one of the City's first public art projects through the new Fort Worth Public Art program, 35 City Blocks by artist and photographer Letitia Huckaby.
