The Near Southside contains the largest concentration of historic buildings in Fort Worth's central city. Many of those buildings, as well as certain historic neighborhood districts, have been designated by the City Council as historically significant.
Designation triggers certain economic incentives as well as the application of certain development restrictions.
This map illustrates the locally designated historic landmarks and districts. There are three local designation categories: "DD" Demolition Delay, "HC" Historic and Cultural Landmark, and "HSE" Highly Significant Endangered.
